SS Educational Services Ltd (“SSES”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of personal information collected through this website. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 12167415. This notice covers the public website and general website enquiries. Separate notices may apply to apprenticeship assessment, complaints, appeals, reasonable adjustments, employment and other regulated activities.

Information we collect

• Your name, organisation, email address and optional telephone number.
• Your enquiry type, standard of interest, message and communication history.
• Technical information used to operate and secure the website, such as IP address, browser/device information, request time and security events.

Do not send learner records, assessment evidence, health information, safeguarding information or other sensitive material through the general enquiry form. Contact SSES first so an appropriate secure route can be agreed.

Why we use it

• We respond to general enquiries and maintain appropriate professional relationships because this is necessary for our legitimate business interest in communicating with prospective and existing customers.
• Where an individual asks us to discuss services or prepare a quotation, we use the information needed to take those requested steps before entering into a contract.
• We use proportionate technical records to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website. This supports our interest in providing a reliable service and protecting SSES and its visitors, and may also help us meet applicable security duties.
• We retain or disclose relevant information where necessary to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We do not use website-enquiry information for unrelated email marketing. The website has no newsletter sign-up at launch.

Who we share it with

Where necessary, information may be processed by Krystal/Onyx for website hosting and technical operation, GoDaddy for domain and business-email services, and suppliers supporting form delivery, security and backup. It may also be shared with professional advisers, insurers, regulators, law-enforcement bodies or courts where required or justified. We do not sell personal information.

International processing

The website is hosted through a UK provider. Some suppliers or their sub-processors may use infrastructure outside the United Kingdom. Where personal information is transferred internationally, SSES will rely on an applicable UK adequacy regulation or other legally recognised safeguard and will keep the arrangement under review. How long we keep it

• WordPress copy of a general enquiry: 90 days after submission.
• Enquiry correspondence: 12 months after closure, unless it becomes part of a record with a different documented period.
• Routine website and security logs: 90 days, unless an event needs longer investigation.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to be informed, access your information, correct it, request erasure or restriction, object to certain uses, receive certain information in a portable format and withdraw consent. These rights are not absolute and exemptions may apply. We may need to verify your identity.
